Now that most everyone's made a prediction about how actual baseball will play out, why not make some predictions about this league. Below are my completely biased guesses as to just exactly who I'll be dominating and by how much.
2010 La Liga Predictions
1. Tito Landrum Express
Offensive balance and a dominant pitching staff with 2 kick-ass closers make this thing a no contest by late June.
2. The Josh Hamiltoes
The game's best player and a set of ridiculous starters keep this team close, until Aaron Hill remembers that last year was a fluke.
3. Jason Bere's Sluggers
This band of misfits overperforms for the first half of the season keeping them up in the standings.
4. The Old Mill
A team powered by 4 top 10 players rocks the offensive stats but gets rocked on the mound.
5. Gilkeys Eyeballs
Surprising pitching performances are the highlight of this team that is in need of, well, highlights.
6. Doc's LSD No-No
A phenomenal pitching staff just can't seem to carry the offense. A late season trade with The Old Mill is too little too late.
7. Jabberwocks
A starting line up featuring an Elvis, a Shin-Soo, an Ichiro, and a Chone is laughed off the field during the announcement of the batting order.
8. Olerud Helmeteers
This sucky team just sucks all year long. You hear me Jake!?! You're going down! Sux.

Dan Haren and Johan Santana are available for SLUGGERS!!!!!!!! Trade with me bitches.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, anyone (not named Halladay) from my pitching staff is available.
ReplyDelete1. Olerud Helmeteers - Champion 2 of the last 3 years, the team returns to the top with savvy moves on top of a deceptively bonerous draft.
ReplyDelete3. Hamiltoes - Look at that pitching, and having the best player in baseball doesn't hurt either
2. Jason Bere Sluggers - Led by a cast of young all-stars, this team is no joke. But Jason Bere hitting a homerun in MLB Slugfest 2003 for the Gamecube is.
4. Jabberwocks - nothing special, but nothing awful. See you in the playoffs, 4-seed.
5. Gilkey's Balls - As long as Cabrera stays off the funjuice, I see good things.
6. LSD No-No: Could hit their way out of a wet paper bag, but 2 wet paper bags is too much.
7. Old Mill - unless pitching changes, will be slug their way to the bottom
8. Tito Landrum Express - Heavy reliance on Yankees leaves this manager with a hole in his heart--which puts him in last place at life.
1) The Josh Hamiltoes - Pitching, Pujols, Pennant.
ReplyDelete2) The Old Mill - Slaughters most competitors in the hitting categories, and picks up a few hidden pitching gems as the year rolls by.
3) Doc LSD No No - Turns one of his top flight pitchers into power to pair with Han-Ram and strikes a nice balance.
4) Gilkey's Eyeballs - Solid team throughout. A decent amount riding on the old muscles of Lee and Manny.
5) The Olerud Helmeteers - A few potential breakout years could push this team higher. And probably will.
6) Tito Landrum Express - Too many of the top players are Yankees; baseball gods frown and injuries kill this team.
7) JasonBere's Sluggers - Full of exciting, young players, but somehow not the best results.
8) Jabberwocks - Just a weird team. Sorry Jeff.
So much for Halladay not being available...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have considered trading Halladay for anyone but a handful of players. Fielder was one of them.
ReplyDeleteI think that's actually a great trade for both of you, which sux for the rest of us.
